AMUR GAS CHEMICAL COMPLEX (AGCC)

The Amur Gas Chemical Complex (AGHC) is a construction enterprise in the Amur Region of Russia, a joint project of SIBUR and China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec).

The goal of the project is the production of polyethylene and polypropylene of various trademarks from ethane, propane and butane, which will come from the neighboring Amur Gas Processing Plant.

The production capacity of the complex will be 2.7 million tons of finished products per year

Economic importance

The project is aimed at the development of deep processing of hydrocarbon raw materials extracted from the Far East.

The launch of the complex will allow:

  • reorient liquefied hydrocarbon gases (LPG) from export supplies for processing on the domestic market;
  • provide an additional raw material base for related industries;
  • contribute to the additional production of high-tech export-oriented products.

Also, the project is included in the concept of creating an industrial park near Free, where it is planned to launch the production of plastic and polypropylene products produced by the complex.
